TYPE OF WINE: Red
VARIETY: Winemaker’s secret blend based on Sangiovese and Nebbiolo
REGION: Los Chacayes (Uco Valley)
VINTAGE: 2024. It was a highly challenging harvest for Mendoza due to climatic conditions (hail, frost, and water scarcity), which resulted in significantly reduced production. However, the grape quality was excellent, yielding wines with great character, concentration, and longevity.
WINEMAKING METHOD: Fermentation in 5,000-liter stainless steel tanks. Gentle pump-overs. Cold maceration for 3 days followed by 18 days of alcoholic fermentation. 100% malolactic fermentation. Use of indigenous yeasts.
AGING: 12 months in second- and third-use French oak barrels, medium toast.
CHARACTERISTICS: Violet ruby color with garnet edges. A wine with great aromatic expression. On the nose, it presents aromas of dried plums, currants, blackberries, and cherries. Floral notes reminiscent of violets, tobacco, leather, and truffle. A finish of licorice and menthol. On the palate, it has a mineral texture, well-integrated tense tannins, and marked acidity. Aging potential: 10 years.
TEMPERATURE: Recommended serving temperature is between 15 and 17 °C to highlight its organoleptic characteristics.
ALCOHOL: 14.5%
ACIDITY: 5.9 g/L
